Nelly was born near Stranda, Norway on December 23, 1915.

She and her husband Olav Hale left Norway in 1949 settling in Seattle.  They 
were blessed with three children John, Laila and Norman.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, a grandson Kristian and 
her eight older brothers and sisters.   

She is survived by many relatives still in Norway, and children John (Rita), 
Laila (Jim) Tedford and Norman (Lynette).
