Meade was born April 11, 1919 in Pittsburg, Kansas.

He served in the US Army Air Corps.

In 1945 he married Clarice Osterud.   She died in 2004.

Tom is survived by his children Peggy Price (Jim), Kathleen Sidwell (Jerry) and
Leonard Hargiss (Debbie); his brother Dr. James Hargiss (Helen).
