John was born in Duluth, Minnesota on July 15, 1926 to Swedish immigrants John
and Corinne Highberg.

In 1943 he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and was a tail gunner on the B-24 and
B-29.

He married Arlyle Fritz from Wisconsin and they married in 1952.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Fritzi of 56 years, son
John Gregory and brother Roy.

He is survived by daughter Sandra Sadowski (Steve).
