Stanley was born August 22, 1920 in Richmond, CA to Harriet and Thomas Holmes.

He joined the Navy in 1942 and served in the Aleutian Islands.

He married Dorothy Musser in 1944.

He is survived by his children Stanley C. Holmes, Carolyn Ford (Doug), Susan
Dixon (Charlie).   He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy.
