Jack was born January 1, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri the only child of 
John E. and Betty (Rippee) Hopkins.

Jack trained as a Medic in the Washington National Guard.

In 1959 he married Pearl Tuttle Cotton (of Evansberg, Alberta, Canada) in 
Oak Harbor, WA.

He was predeceased by his wife Pearl in 1999.   

He is survived by his goddaughter Jody Mershon and members of Pearl's family 
in Canada.
