Maurice was born May 11, 1930 in Tacoma, WA to Herman and Christine Hausheer.

He served in the US Army in the Korean War.

In 1957 he married Kay Erwin.

In 1974 he became the Staff Director for Congressman Joel Pritchard and
eventually relocated to Washington, DC, returning to Seattle in 1988 when Joel
Pritchard became Lieutenant Governor.

Maury is survived by his wife of 57 years Kay; daughters Beth Osborne (Art),
Lynne Zegeer (John) and Kristen Olbrechts (Phil).
