Leroy was born July 22, 1936 in Aberdeen, WA to Leroy and Eileen (Erickson) Kolb.

In 1960 he married Linda.  They were married 55 years at the time of his death.

Roy is survived by his wife Linda; daughter Diane (Ed Wegner).
