Jack was 94 at the time of his death.

In 1942 he joined the Navy as the pilot of a carrier-based fighter plane, flying
123 missions.

He married Sylvia Andvik in 1944.   She died in 1999.

Jack is survived by his daughters Kris Pepper and Kay Lattin.
