Robert was born in Rutherford, TN to Orville and Frances Massey on March 9, 1925.

He was in the Army during World War II serving with General Patton's Third Army,
76th Infantry Division.  He later was transferred to Frankfurt to work at the
Armed Forces Radio station.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Peggy).

He is survived by children Linda (Andrew) Higgins, Laura Massey, Julie (Colton)
Meek, Susan Trumble, Robert Massey Jr., and Phillip Massey; step-children
SuzAnne (Dale) Wolf, Don Nyden, Tim (Beverly) Nyden, Bob (Penny) Nyden.
