Cheron was born in Seattle on October 6, 1942.

She married William Mayhall in 1967.   They had four children, Phillip, Scotty, 
Laura and Katrian.   Scotty died in 1977 leading her to form a chapter of 
Compassionate Friends to assist others in coping with the death of a child.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years Bill and her children Phillip, Laura 
and Katrina.
