He served during World War II and the Korean War in the Marine Corp as a pilot.

He  is survived by his wife Roberta; children Angus, Mary Ann, Elisabeth, John
and Andrew; sisters Evelyn Butts, Anne MacDonald, Mary Marantette, Patricia
Elkan; brother Douglas.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ronald and Anne McDonald; brothers Paul
and Eugene.
