Myrtle S. McQuade.  Family graveside services were held for Myrtle S. McQuade, 
81, of Issaquah of (sic) Tuesday, January 3, at the Hillside Cemetery.  The 
service was officiated by Pastor Richard Wendt.  Arrangements were made by 
Flintoft's Issaquah Funeral Home  She died at the North Bend Nursing Home on 
December 31.  She was born on January 25, 1902 in Issaquah, the daughter of 
Lewis (sic) and Tilda Becker.  She was raised in Issaquah and graduated from 
Issaquah High School in 1920.  In September of 1920 she married Charles 
McQuade in Seattle.  He preceeded her in death on July 19, 1971.  She worked 
for the Boeing Company during World War II and became a Gold Star Mother when 
her son Jack was killed in the South Pacific at the end of World War II.  She 
played the piano for the Meadowbrook Theater Company in the days of silent 
films, and enjoyed her music very much.  She was a charter member of the VFW 
Auxilliary which frequently visited the Issaquah Villa.  She entertained Villa 
residents and was also a past member of the first Camp Fire Group in Issaquah 
organized in 1917.  McQuade is survived by one son Howard, Issaquah and three 
grandchildren, Jack, Ellensburg, Merri McQuade, Seattle and Mike, Issaquah.  
Remembrances may be made to the Heart Association.

July 25, 1902 in Issaquah, King, WA, and died December 31, 1983 in North Bend, 
King, WA.  She married CHARLES THOMAS MCQUADE September 07, 1920 in Seattle, 
King, WA.  He was born July 23, 1894 in Gilman, King, WA, and died July 19, 
1971 in Orting, Pierce, WA.
Children of MYRTLE BECKER and CHARLES MCQUADE are:
i.	JOHN L. MCQUADE, b. November 28, 1920, Issaquah, King, WA; d. April 
18, 1945, Luzon, Philippines.
ii.	HOWARD E. MCQUADE, b. May 26, 1924, Issaquah, King County, WA; d. 
December 11, 2005, Issaquah, King County, WA; m. DOLORES J. CEDARHOLM, August 
23, 1949, Tukwila, King, Washington.
