Service held for 'Charlie' McQuade, 76.  Graveside services were held July 21 
for Charles ("Charlie") T. McQuade, life-long Issaquah resident who passed 
away July 19 at the Washington Soldiers' Home in Orting at the age of 76.  He 
was born July 23, 1894, in Issaquah and served during World War I with the 
U.S. Navy.  On Sept. 7, 1920, he married Myrtle Becker in Seattle, and the 
couple returned to Issaquah to make their home.  As a young man, he was active 
in baseball and in later years was an active member of bowling leagues.  For 
many years he worked for the City of Issaquah as a "one-man street department" 
and for many years was a part-time marshal.  He was a carpenter by occupation 
and a charter member of Albert Larson Post, VFW.  He is survived by his wife, 
Myrtle; one son, Howard of Issaquah; three grandchildren, and one sister, 
Ethel Marion of Renton.  Graveside services were held at Hillside Cemetery 
with the Rev. Jack Bates officiating.  Issaquah Funeral Home was in charge.

CHARLES THOMAS MCQUADE was born July 23, 1894 in Gilman, King, WA, and died 
July 19, 1971 in Orting, Pierce, WA.  He married MYRTLE SELMA BECKER September 
07, 1920 in Seattle, King, WA, daughter of LOUIS BECKER and MATHILDA 
SVENSSON.  She was born July 25, 1902 in Issaquah, King, WA, and died December 
31, 1983 in North Bend, King, WA.
Children of MYRTLE BECKER and CHARLES MCQUADE are:
i.	JOHN L. MCQUADE, b. November 28, 1920, Issaquah, King, WA; d. April 
18, 1945, Luzon, Philippines.
ii.	HOWARD E. MCQUADE, b. May 26, 1924, Issaquah, King County, WA; d. 
December 11, 2005, Issaquah, King County, WA; m. DOLORES J. CEDARHOLM, August 
23, 1949, Tukwila, King, Washington.
