Issaquah Press, May 3, 1945
Jack McQuade Killed in Action on Luzon.  The tragedy of war brings mourning 
into another Issaquah family and casts a shadow of gloom over the entire 
neighborhood when word was received last Friday by Mr. and Mrs. Charles 
McQuade that their son Jack had been killed in action in Luzon on April 18.  
Jack was born and reared in Issaquah and passed through the local schools, 
graduating from the high school wit the class 1939.  He enlisted in the Army 
over two years ago and had served several months overseas.

Also: p.3:  KILLED IN ACTION.  McQuade, J. L., In Luzon, Phillippines, April 
18, 1945.

Additional Comments:
Parents: Charles Thomas and Myrtle Selma (BECKER) MCQUADE. JOHN L. MCQUADE was 
born November 28, 1920 in Issaquah, King, WA, and died April 18, 1945 in 
Luzon, Philippines.

Air Forces Personnel:  McQuade John L, Serial No. 19111999, PVT, DNB (died non-
battle; in "line of duty").
