McQuade, a lifelong resident of Issaquah, died Dec. 11, 2005, at Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue. He was 81. Mr. McQuade was born May 25, 1924, in Issaquah, where he grew up and attended school. He served with the Navy in Hawaii during World War II. In 1949 he married Dolores ''Dolly'' J. Cedarholm in Tukwila. They made their home in Issaquah. Mr. McQuade worked with his father for several years as a carpenter. He retired in 1983 from the city of Issaquah. His first and foremost interest was in fire fighting. He served as a volunteer with Fire District 10, now known as Eastside Fire and Rescue, for 29 years and was instrumental in getting the first aid car for the city of Issaquah. He also was a member of the Washington State Association of Fire Chiefs and Teamsters Union 763. In addition to his wife, survivors include his sons Jack McQuade of Ellensburg and Mike McQuade of Issaquah; daughter Koreann Ashlie of Sammamish; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. No service will be held. Remembrances may be made to Eastside Fire and Rescue Aid Car Fund, the Salvation Army or the Issaquah Food Bank.
