William was born April 16, 1924 in Shawnee, OK to Hester and Paul Moody.

He served in World War II in France (1944) at the age of 19; he was also
involved with the liberation of Dachau.

He married Wanda Imboden in 1948.

In 1950 he was recalled to active duty serving 2 years, and then recalled again
in 1956 and served for 15 years.   He was honorably discharged in 1976.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Wanda; daughters Dolores and Marta.
