Valerie was born May 31, 1948 to Haru and Frank Nishimura.   

In 1983 she married Michael Nagan.  

She is survived by her husband Michael; daughter Kelly Nagan, son Connor Nagan,
stepsons Paul and Charles (Van) Nagan, stepdaughter Melissa Nagan, her parents
Haru and Frank Nishimura; brothers David, Jon, Dean (Lynn) and Russel Nishimura,
sisters Joy Nishimura and Merilee (Jim) Shields.
