Zona was born in Seattle March 27, 1930 to Elna (Englen) and Luther M. Cobbs.

She married James T. Kearney.   She was married to Jim Piper in February 1971.

She was preceded in death by husband Jim Piper in 2009.

She is survived by children Sue (Kearney) Lindsey (Dave); J.T. Kearney (Tam-me
Bosler); Jim Piper (Suzie), Mary Diederichs (Steve); Janet Jorve (Tim); Jack
Piper (Jinks); Patty Stivala (Steve).
