Eleanor was born September 28, 1926 in New Castle-Upon-Tyne, England.

She joined the Royal Air Force at 17.

She married Kenneth W. Porter and they were married for 65 years at the time 
of his death in 2012.

They emigrated to Canada, and then to the United States.

Eleanor is survived by her brother Donald, her children Derek, Karen, Diane 
and Janice.
