Joyce was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 31, 1926 to Larry and Lucille 
Jaekels.

She earned a degree in Physical Therapy at Marquette University and in 1954 
came to Tacoma to practice PT at Tacoma General Hospital.

She married Richard (Dick) Kosenkranz in 1956.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jack and sister Jean.

She is survived by her husband, her sister Janet (who was Jean's twin), 
daughter Susan Lyn, son Richard Lee (Sandy).
