Gerald was born on December 14, 1925 in Viborg, South Dakota to George and 
Marie Sather.   Both his parents and two brothers Norman and Milton preceded 
him in death.

Gerry served in the US Army in Europe during World War II from 1943-1946 where 
he received both the Silver and Bronze Stars for gallantry in action.

He married Lorea (no wedding date given, no maiden name given, no wedding 
location given) and they had three children (no names given).
