Rex was born October 2, 1947 in Renton, WA to Max and Loretta Sayre.

He joined the Navy in 1966 and was stationed aboard the USS Enterprise which
took him to Viet Nam.

He married Taffi Martini in June 1971.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Taffi; brother Tom (Sylvia); sister
Sandra McAllister; brother Jon (Hazel).
