Marylee was born on May 12, 1947 in Mt. Angel, Oregon to Francis and Adelene 
Hammelman.

She met and married Joseph Schaeffer after moving to Seattle following 
graduation from High School.

She was preceded in death by her father Francis and her sister Diane Sowa.

She is survived by her mother, Adelene, brothers Dan, Richard and Father William 
Hammelman, her husband Joseph, daughter Tanya Laskelle (Jason) son Ryan 
Schaeffer (Ellie) and son Brandon (Erin).
