Janet was born September 9, 1925 in Tacoma to Walter H. and Ruth L. McArtor 

In 1946 she married Richard H. (Dick) McArtor after his return from WWII 
service.

Janet was preceded in death in 1996 by her husband Richard and in 2001 by 
her son Jim.

She is survived by her sister Barbara Hollosi; her children: Greg (Sherry), 
Catherine Whitney, Paul (Marci), Tom, Mary Buder (Manfred), John 
(Stephanie), Margaret (Tsegahun) and Joanne Laha (Tom).
