Shirley was born March 23, 1935 to Helen and Matt Jokinen in Hibbing, Minnesota.

She married Chris Sievers in 1961.

She is survived by her husband Chris; her children Lisa Gebert (John), Todd
Sievers (Veronica), Sara Hodge (Gordon) and Sonja Owen (Rob).
