Joyce was born February 20, 1929 to Marius and Cora Titterud in Wildrose, ND.

She married David Skotdal in November 1975.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband David (2013); siblings Donald, Edwin,
Jenny and Ragna.

She is survived by her brothers Marvin (Dorothy) and Craig(June).
