Floyd was born in Wakpala, South Dakota on April 12, 1926.

He was in the US Marines during World War II and was also a Korean War 
veteran.

He married Dorothy DeShaw in 1947.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy, children Loretta (Russ) 
Olsen, Loraine White, Floyd "Buzz" (Tina) Swift.

He was preceded in death by son-in-law Bob White.
