Mamoru was born June 14, 1921 in Seattle to Yaoki and Hanayo Takashima.

He and his family were interned in the Minidoka camp during World War II.

He is survived by his wife Alice; daughters Jane (John) and Jeannette (Art); son
Paul; brother Ben Tsutomu (Mitsuko); sister-in-law Kiyo (wife of Sadamu, deceased).

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Hiroshi and Sadamu, and
daughter Dail.
