James was born on April 19, 1929 in Fall River MA to Charlotte and James Thorpe.

He married Maxine in 1950 in Tiverton, RI and they were happily married for 62 
years.

Jim is survived by his sons Jim, Peter, David, Mark and daughter Carol.  He is 
also survived by his sister Marjorie of Somerset, MA.
