Dick was born April 27, 1929 in Seattle to Winifred and Dick Wasson.

Just before the end of World War II he joined the Civil Air Patrol at the age of
14.  When old enough, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Frankfurt,
Germany during the Berlin Air Lift in 1948.

In 1951 he married Madeleine Rice.

He is survived by his wife Madeleine of 64 years, brother Donald (Mary Jane),
daughter Loraine Comen (Jon), son Steven.
