Seattle Times 8/16/15
Lempi was born November 24, 1926 in Finland.   She survived Soviet Union attacks
on Karelia in World War II, eventually emigrating to Australia, before moving to
the US in 1964.

She is survived by her children Pirjo (Bruce) Appling, Pirkko (Bill) O'Clock,
Paula Uusitalo and Pekka Uusitalo.
