Walter was born in Frankfurt, Germany on August 30, 1932 to Bruno and Hilda
Wolff.  In 1939-40 his family emigrated to New York and then Seattle.

He married Marilyn Maletta in 1953, and they were married 43 years when she died.
Together they had the following children:  Steven and Heidi Wolff LaShelle.

He was married later to Rosalie Nordeen.   She added David (Sandra) Steven,
Mark, and Michael (Renee) to their extended family.
