This is my great grandfather on my mother's mother's side. He came from Sweden 
in 1893. He was on his way to work on the morning of Dec. 23, 1919. He and 
another man were crossing Leary Way in Ballard, when a car driven by Robert 
Mackie, hit him. They rushed him to the hospital, but he later died from a 
fractured skull.
