Additional Comments:
(Maija "Mary" Jarvi, b Yliharma, Finland, immigrated in 1893 via 
Canada.  Fred b Ypparinkyla / Kalajoki, Finland, to Matias 
Frederick and Agata Lahti, and immigrated in 1891.  On coming 
to America, Fred changed his name for something an uncle was 
decorated for in the Russian Army.  American officials came up 
with Grunoff and the family approved.  They were married in 1899.  
Ch:  Infant son; Hilja; Helmi; Linda; Eino; Laila [mar -?- 
Walmsley]; Clarence; Thelma [mar -?- Thornley]. Fred accidentally 
shot and killed himself.  He was 1st cousin to the Niemela boys, 
Tom, Matti and Emil.
