She was born in Ellensburg on August 30, 1891, daughter of the late Soren and Nielsine (Pedersen) Sorenson. She was an Ellensburg school board member for 15 years, charter member of the 4-K Service Club, 4-H leader, member of the farm bureau and grange, past president of the Badger Pocket home economics group, 50-year member of past noble grand of the Rebekah Lodge-Altrusa Club. She also was an avid letter writer and sports fan and was captain of a women's basketball team at Washington State College, where she attended school for two years. She and Ralph Lynch were married in Ellensburg on June 29, 1912. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1970. Survivors include: two sons, Delbert and Gordon Lynch, of Quincy; three daughters, Mrs. G. H. (Iva) Stiegleder, Ellensburg, Mrs. Maxine Miller, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Merle (Barbara) Berger, Sedro Wolley; 20 grandchildren; 21 great children; one great great grandchild; and on brother, N. Harold Sorenson, Ellensburg. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Gene (Beatrice) Schnabel in 1977. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Evenson Chapel. The Rev. Robert Cousart will officiate. Burial will follow at the IOOF Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Northwest Kidney Foundation, 1002 Columbia Street, Seattle, 98104.
