Mrs. Amelia McEwen, aged 63 years, died at her home in this county last
Saturday [October 27, 1898].  The funeral services were held from the
Methodist Church in this city on Monday, Rev. Smith officiating.  Deceased
leaves a husband and five children to mourn her loss.

Jerusah was the daughter of William McMillan and Elizabeth Wyatt.  She
married John Hager McEwen on August 11, 1850 in Mahaska Co., IA.
