All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Contributed by: Shelli Steedman 4/20/2007 Port Orchard-Myrtle (Bunnie) LaValle McEwen, 77, a longtime resident of Toppenish passed away on Saturday, April 17, 1993 in Port Orchard, WA. She was born on January 22, 1916 in Toppenish, the daughter of Eldon Desmond and Edna (Meacham) Ranes. Bunnie spent most of her life in Toppenish. She married Carl McEwen [son of Harvey and Martha McEwen of Ellensburg] on August 29, 1958 in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. Bunnie enjoyed dancing and going for drives to see the countryside. She and Carl loved the mountains and spent a lot of their free time camping out and fishing. She was a member of the Outlaw Riding Club, the American Legion and the Eagles Auxiliary of Toppenish #2229. She also played in the Kitchen Band for the Eagles Auxiliary. She was a very devoted wife to Carl and will be deeply missed by their families. She is survived by a brother Jim Ranes of Port Orchard, WA; several nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Viewing for Bunnie will begin on Tuesday, April 20, 1993 at 5:00 PM until the time of the service. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 1993 at 2:00 PM in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial and concluding services will be at the Elmwood Cemetery, Toppenish.
