Stevens, 77, who was injured in an automobile crash in the Teanaway District Sunday, died Monday at the Kittitas Valley Community Hospital [June 10, 1968]. Her husband, Avery, received serious injuries in the mishap. She was born July 27, 1890, the daughter of pioneer residents, Mr. and Mrs. Al Wright. She was marred to Robert O. Burnett, Nov. 9, 1910, and he preceded her in death in February of 1952. She was later married to Avery Stevens, Oct. 15, 1953. They have farmed in the Woldale District since that time. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Methodist Church Circle, the Pioneer Club and the Ellensburg Club of Seattle. In addition to her husband, Avery, she is survived by two sons, Robert A. Burnett, Seattle, Richard L. Burnett, Bellevue; one daughter, Mrs. Jane Angel, Seattle; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Roy L. Maryatt, Seattle, Mrs. Doris Zastrow, Seattle, Mrs. Charles Kilgore, Glen Ellen, Calif.; two brothers in Glen Ellen, Calif.; two brothers, A. W. Wright, Seattle, and John Wright, Anchorage, Alaska. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Evanson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Albert Sweet will officiate and cremation will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Seattle.
