All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Contributed by: Shelli Steedman 4/20/2007 Felix Grundy Wyatt, 90, well-known and long-time Kittitas Valley resident, died yesterday [January 15, 1948] at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Howard Baughman, in Seattle. He had lived in Seattle for the past 10 years. Born January 1, 1858, in Ina, Illinois, Wyatt was brought to Shelton, Wash., by his parents when he was six years old. The trip was made by ox team. The family remained only a short time in Shelton and returned to Illinois. He was married in Mount Rose, Mo., in 1881 to Miss Mary Birney. They moved out to Shelton and then settled in Kittitas in 1904 where they lived until Mrs. Wyatt's death in 1938. He went to Seattle at that time to make his home with his daughter. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Marie Myrtle Ferguson, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Mrs. Baughman; Mrs. Ben Ferguson, Ellensburg, and Mrs. Harry Ferrier, Spokane; three sons, Art Wyatt, Kittitas; William Wyatt, Seattle, and Otis Wyatt, Ellensburg; 16 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. A fourth son, Leslie Wyatt, who lived in the valley nearly all his life, died a year ago. Funeral services will be held at the Honeycutt-Evenson Chapel here Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.
