She was 93. Born Aug. 31, 1904, in Leigh, England, to George and Catherin (Mitchell) Wigley, she moved to Centralia from England. A Centralia High School graduate, she worked as a licensed practical nurse for Centralia General Hospital and Providence Centralia Hospital. Her enjoyments were doing crafts, crocheting, knitting, gardening, and reading. Survivors include two daughters, Catherine Johnson of Chehalis and Dorothy Jensen of Centralia; a sister, Catherine Laib of Port Angeles; a grandchild; two great-grandchildren; a niece; and several cousins. She married WALTER WESLEY FRIEND March 11, 1933 in Chehalis, Lewis, WA, son of JOHN FRIEND and ESTHER JENKINS. He was born May 07, 1889 in Houtzdale, Clearfield, PA, and died August 19, 1957 in Centralia, Lewis, WA. First husband, William Smith, m.7-8-1922 with whom she had 2 daughters.
