Fusco, 95, a resident of Centralia, died Monday, April 10, at Washington Health Care Center-Riverside in Centralia. Born July 13, 1899, at Hoquiam, to Edward Emmett and Eva McElfresh (Armentrout) Dillon, she moved with her family to Centralia in 1904, and graduated from Centralia High School in 1917. She attended McMinnville College in Oregon and Centralia College. Fusco was the former co-owner of Centralia Fuel Company, and served as acting postmaster in Centralia from 1949 to 1953. She retired from the Centralia Tax Commission in 1964. A member of the First Baptist Church in Centralia, serving as financial secretary for many years, she was also active in Democratic politics having been elected precinct and state committee woman. She enjoyed activities in Camp 1982 and the Royal Neighbors of America. Survivors include two daughters, Jeanne Marie Vandeberg of Federal Way, and Mary Anne Laube of Bellingham; two grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. Memorials may be donations to a charity of the donor's choice. Private family services for Fusco were held today in Mountain View Cemetery, Centralia. Arrangements are under the direction of Newell- Hoerling's Mortuary in Centralia.
