John's first wife (m.1893) was Anna PELOT FUSKO. John's second wife (m.1919) was Eva CIESLA KUKUCKA. A transcription of the second marriage license shows John's parents names as John and Mary FUSKO. John's name at birth was "FUSHKO" but, in addition to this spelling, "FUSKO" and "FUSCO" also were used in the USA. He was born in the Austrian-Hungarian Empire, which included Slovakia, his likely birthplace. He immigrated abt.1888 and likely lived near relatives in the Chicago or Minneapolis area. Anna immigrated and joined him in 1893. They followed mining jobs and lived in Sand Coulee, MT, Casper, WY, Black Diamond, WA, Cle Elum, WA, and Carbonado, WA. With Anna, John had at least 9 children: Mary A. FUSCO ANDROSKO, John T. FUSCO (AKA REYNOLDS), Emma Nellie FUSCO SHELDON SAMUELS, George FUSKO, Rose FUSCO MOSSOP, Anna "Annie" Mae FUSCO FRIEND MAYER, Steven George FUSCO, William FUSCO, and Joseph William FUSCO. Anna died in 1914 and, in 1919, John married a second time (Eva is found in Skookumchuck, Thurston County, WA with John in the 1920 census, but in 1930 John is living alone in Tono, Thurston County, WA and is shown as a widower). His children subsequently built him a small home in Centralia, Lewis County, WA where he resided the rest of his life. John is buried in Wilkeson, Pierce County, WA with his first wife, Anna FUSKO, and his gravestone shows the surname "FUSHKO."
