Centralia Daily Chronicle, Monday, September 30, 1929
MARRIED.  At a charmingly simple ceremony performed Saturday at high noon at 
the First Christian church parsonage, Miss Bernice Cranston (should be 
Berniece CROSTON) of Vader became the bride of Mr. Claude Jorgensen of 
Ryderwood.  The bride is the only daughter of Mrs. Hester St. Germain of 
Vader, and Mr. Jorgensen is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jorgensen of 
Ryderwood.  Rev. C. H. Lorimer read the single ring service.  The bride wore 
an attractively fashioned model of dark blue georgette crepe with hose and 
slippers to match.  Mrs. St. Germain and Mr. Clifford Jorgensen, a brother of 
the groom, attended the couple.  Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jorgensen were also 
present at the ceremony.  Mrs. Jorgensen attended the Vader schools, and Mr. 
Jorgensen, who received his schooling at Yacolt, is a logging engineer.  
Following a short honeymoon trip the couple will make their home in Vader.  A 
wide circle of friends join in extending hearty congratulations and best 
wishes for the future.

Berniece's parents:  John C. CROSTON (1891-1947) and Hester Florence ROBERTSON 
(divorced).  At the time of the marriage, Hester was married to Michael Joseph 
ST. GERMAIN to whom Berniece remained close throughout his lifetime.  
Vitals for Berniece: b.February 10, 1911 Washington State; m.September 29, 
1929 to Claude JORGENSEN (subsequently divorced); m.June 12, 1979 to Theodore 
George GABRIEL; d.December 19, 2001 Federal Way, King, WA.  
Vitals for Claude:  b.January 25, 1910; m.September 29, 1929 to Berniece E. 
CROSTON (subsequently divorced and remarried); d.July 09, 1971.  In 1930 
census, Les and Berniece were residing in Cowlitz County, Ryderwood, 113-1/2 
Taylor Street.
