Access is through farmed and/or pastured ground, for access, contact Dean Reinbold of Davenport. The cemetery is located in the SW1/4 Sec2 T27N R36E, and is less than 1/2 mile through the field, on a hillside in pine trees, although barely visible from the highway. It shows the evidence of no care for many years, but a group is now becoming active. The listing gives the stones as found, beginning at the southwest corner of the cemetery, near the fence on the uphill side. A few names are given at the end of that listing. They are of those whose burial in Frans Cemetery has been recorded in other manners. One known soldier is buried there, a veteran of the Spanish American War. The first burial was in 1883, the last in 1955. The oldest birth date shown is 1812. To search for a name, go to the search or find feature of your browser, type in the wanted name, select, and it will bring them up, if there. Abbreviations include: f/h=funeral home marker; f/r= family records; f/s=foot stone, (maiden); b=born; d=died. When two names share a stone number, that indicates a shared or joint stone.
