Information made available to the US GenWeb Archives by the Mason County Historical Society. ----------------------------------------------- Those who checked out this cemetery said there were many sunken areas where there were graves but there weren't any markers or heastones. 1. John Slocum, died Nov 31, 1897 A note says he is found in the 1880 census of Mason couunty. 2. Thomas Slocum, d. 11 Jan 1901, aged 50 years A note says he is also found in the 1880 census of mason county 3. Anna J. Ellis, beloved wife of John Gillespie, died 5 Jan 1886, aged 28 years. In a book "How When & Where on Hood Canal" by Helen McReavey Andersen, published in 1960, it is noted a Talitha Kirkland married a Van de Vere Perry Morrow. The two of them were buried in the Oakland Cemetery. The marble slab in 1960 said Van de Vere Perry Morrow was born Sept 25, 1831 and died Apr 23 1901. Talitha Kirkland Morrow born 1848 and died Nov. 1866
