Burial list of Black Lake Cemetery transcribed and submitted by T Sheldon June 2002. Both above notices must remain when copied or downloaded. -------------------------------------------------------------------- On the northern side of Ilwaco there is a large lake, black in color, that at one time had a skid set up on the east side of the lake for the lumber industry. It was here, next to the skid, that there were a few burials made. As this place has long been abandoned, there is no longer anything to see. Research was done on this cemetery in the 1960s, and only one name was known, although there was another few members of another family known to have been buried here, later being moved. BAKER, ? two family members were relocated to Lone Fir Cemetery, though it is unsure how many were actually here. ROSS, Archie d. 1887/1888, death due to shooting over ownership and placement of fish nets and traps.
