Burial list of Briscoe Family Cemetery transcribed and submitted by T Sheldon June 2002. Both above notices must remain when copied or downloaded. -------------------------------------------------------------------- This small cemetery is located just a couple of miles outside of, and to the north of, Long Beach WA, on Hwy 103. There is no address for this cemetery, but it would be about the 140th block, I estimate, of the highway. It is on the old DLC of John Briscoe (registered in Vancouver WA), facing the ocean, yet sheltered by the dunes. At some point, the owners of the two homes aside the cemetery have taken to keeping the small fence whitewashed, and the beach grass cleaned away from inside. The stones have both been broken at some point, however, someone has done a pretty fair job of reassembling them. Both stones are readable, detailed, and statuesque. Local history declares that John Jr., a teenager, was also buried here, though there is no stone for him. I have nothing on the cause of his death, nor his age.
