Location: Sec 27, T14N, R10W It would be nice to tell you that I saw this cemetery, but that I cannot do. The four acre cemetery was bought from J.R.Champ D.L.C. #38. It was a small plot of a farmer's land, and was difficult to locate. The cemetery was on a hillside overlooking the now extinct Bruceport. By the mid 1960's there were only a couple of stones left. A healthy portion of the hillside slid down due to erosion, destroying the town below. From other records, I have listed what I found. BRADY, Ann, d. 30 Nov 1863, age 51y5m, w/o Charles BRADY, m/o Lucy, was widowed by John P. PAULDING, m. BRADY in 1862 BRADY, Charles, d.3 May 1881 BRADY, Sarah, no dates MARSHALL, Paddy, no dates, his boat wrecked at Snag Island (near Bruceport) and he drowned. MILLER, James, no dates POPE, John N., b.2 Nov 1828-2 Nov 1868, h/o Catherine, f/o 5 daughters, hanged himself because he had so many girl children and no boys STREITHOFF, Eliza(VASHTI), no dates, b.1799 VT, m1. RHOADES, m2. McCLAIN UNKNOWN, It is said that there are quite a few indians buried here.
