Morning Oregonian September 10, 1904
South Bend,Wash,Sept.9-(Special)- Jacob Schinder,an old time resident of Smith 
Creek,Pacific County,Wash.,was severely and perhaps fatally injured in a 
runaway accident Wednesday evening.He has been unconscious ever since. 
Schindler had driven to Riverside,and on returning his team ran away.He was 
found near a stump insensible and brought here.He has a fractured collar 
bone,fractured rib,head and shoulders badly bruised,and being over 70 years of 
age,stands a poor show fro recovery.
