January 24th 1883 of inflamation of the stomache and liver.....My dear wife is burried in gravely Lake Cemetery three miles East from Steilacoom, Pierce Co. Wathington Territory and our little boy sleeps near her =========================================================================== My source is my Great Grandfather's journal which I have and is in the Oregon Archives also. His name is Newton S. Todd and was married to Almira J. Norton (born in Marion County, Oregon on March 16th, 1856) on November 28, 1877 and she died in Steilacoom, Washington Territory on January 24, 1883. She was probably marked with a wooden cross as they didn't have much money. She was my great grandmother. ******************************************************************************* USGENWEB ARCHIVES NOTICE: These electroic pages may not be reproducted inany format for profit or presentation by any other organization orpersons.
